When viewing the scenery in Biei, please do not set foot in the fields. The fields are private property and are not to be entered without permission.
There is also a risk of disease outbreaks on crops from bacteria on the soles of shoes.
Please take photos from the paved asphalt.
We ask for your understanding and cooperation in order to preserve the scenery of Biei for future generations.

List of photogenic spots

The landscape of Biei shows different faces in each of the four seasons. In spring, fresh greenery is beautiful, and in summer, vivid flowers spread out. In autumn, the autumn leaves create beautiful scenery, and in winter, the snowy landscape shows us its serene beauty. Biei’s scenery is also an attractive spot for photography enthusiasts. It is especially considered an ideal place for landscape and nature photography.

Flower Garden with a View Shikisai-no-oka

This 15-hectare site is an observatory flower garden with dozens of different kinds of flowers that are vibrant to the eye. The gently undulating hills form a unique landscape, and the views are spectacular.

Shin-ei Hill Observation Park

On the east side, the Tokachi Mountain range and red-roofed houses can be seen. The west side is a popular photo spot for beautiful sunsets.

San’ai Hill Observation Park

This is a popular spot for visitors using rental bicycles. Panoramic scenery typical of Biei spreads out along the way.

Farms Chiyoda

If you go up to the viewing platform at the top of the hill, you can see the Tokachi Mountain Range and grazing cattle.

Kashiwa Park

Asahidake to the Tokachidake mountain range, the Daisetsuzan mountain range can be seen all around, and in front of you is a spacious patchwork of hills. In spring, tractors come and go in abundance during the cultivation season, and in summer, fields of potato blossoms and golden wheat fields spread out.

Around Takushinkan

The “Shirakaba Corridor” is located on the grounds of Takushinkan.
The small paths of white birches neatly lined up on both sides have recently been gaining popularity as an Instagram-worthy spot.
