This is the “Larch House,” a fully renovated one-story home designed by Ietowa, the housing division of a local construction company in Biei.
It features 200mm insulated walls, triple-glass windows that keep out the cold, solid wood flooring with a warm and natural feel, and custom-made doors and furniture crafted by skilled artisans. The exterior is finished with locally sourced Biei larch wood.
Not only beautiful in design, this home promises a warm and comfortable stay even in the severe winters of northern Hokkaido, where temperatures can drop below -20°C.
It is also fully equipped with furniture, appliances, and kitchenware, making it perfect for long-term stays.
