“What lies ahead in life without throwing anything away”
Reusing a closed school building Cherishing the feeling of waste.
AntaaLab is a place that connects people who wish to hand over their furniture and tools that they have cherished for a long time to someone who will take good care of them, rather than simply throwing them away, with people who love old, historic, and time-worn objects and people who have a sense of "mottainai" (what a waste). We are working as a place to connect people who love old things, historical things, and time-honored things, as well as people who have a sense of "mottainai".
We exhibit and sell old tools from various periods, old materials such as old barn posts and beams, old moldboard glass and fittings, and building materials that were about to be thrown away when they were new, in the abandoned former Goryo Elementary School.
Various workshops are also held, including original products made from old materials and hands-on production using old vinyl records.
Please come and enjoy the feeling of time travel while touring the interior of a small elementary school in a depopulated area.
