This iconic poplar tree appeared in a Nissan Skyline TV commercial in 1972 and has since become one of Biei’s symbolic landscapes. Its unique name comes from the characters “Ken” and “Mary” in the commercial. It is also a popular scenic spot for a drive.

Visitor Information & Safety Notice

・Traffic can become very busy, and roads may be dangerous due to tour buses, rental cars, and pedestrians.
・Keep a safe distance between vehicles and drive carefully.
・Please avoid long stops on the road or shoulders.
・Large agricultural vehicles frequently pass during farming seasons. Do not block their way.
・Do not enter the fields to protect crops and farmland.
・Toilets and parking are limited. Please prepare before your visit.

Peak seasons such as weekends, holidays, and summer vacations are expected to be crowded. Please consider visiting at different times.
