Shirogane shrine
Shirogane Shrine is located on Shirogane Onsen Area in Biei. The Shirogane Shrine was built on 8 August 1933 on a site that was not damaged by the volcanic eruption of 1926, in order to pray for the safety and prosperity of Shirogane Onsen Area, which lies under the active volcano of Tokachi-dake.
This shrine is steeped in history and is worth a quick stop when visiting Shirogane Onsen.
